Outline

Learn how to use different types of questions to support students with Speech, Language and Communication Needs. Strategies learned will support you to differentiate questions in the classroom.

Description

This course is jointly facilitated by Carolyn Gelenter (Advisory Teacher for SLCN) and the SLT service. Blank’s level questioning are 4 levels which begin with simple questions and more towards questions which require verbal reasoning. It is important to ask children questions, which are at the right level for them and to support them to move onto the next level. Learn more about Blank’s levels of questioning and how to use them within the classroom.

Outcomes

Learn the theory behind Blank’s level questioning.
Learn the what the 4 levels of Blank’s questioning are.
Find out how to use cueing techniques to scaffold children to reach the next level.
Consider opportunities within the classroom for using Blank’s questions?
